If you are a flower connoisseu

we advise you to definitely plan a trip to the south of the country to moshav Beer Tovia during the period April-May. It is at this time in spring that you can see colorful fields of buttercups there. And not only to see, but also to photograph all this beauty! Moreover, you can even take with you the most beautiful flowers in your opinion.

Let’s start with the moshav itself.

It is located in the Southern District of Israel near the city of Kiryat Malachi. A moshav is a type of agricultural settlement or community. People live there, work: they raise calves and sheep, broiler chickens, they keep cowsheds. From vegetables, among other things, cabbage, pumpkins, eggplants, tomatoes, artichokes, onions are grown; from fruits – peaches, persimmons, apples, plums, figs, pomegranates, olives, grapes. Moshav Be’er Tovia (Hebrew בְּאֵר טוֹבְיָה) grows wheat, fodder clover, and corn in the fields, and stunningly beautiful flowers grow in greenhouses. One of them is buttercups! April – May is the period of flowering of these amazing flowers. On certain days – for example, on weekends – it is allowed to come and admire this beauty.

This year we finally got to go there.

When my friends and I arrived at the fields of the moshav, there were already quite a few visitors. We decided to make sure to bring a bouquet home with us, so we paid 60 shekels (17 euros) for all of us (it turned out that you pay for the entrance not per person, but for the whole car). Without a bouquet, it would have turned out quite a penny: take pictures as much as you like! We were given a plastic jar for a bouquet and small scissors for cutting flowers.
And here we are in the real kingdom of buttercups – a bright firework of colors and shapes!

The flowers are planted in multi-colored stripes, creating a flower carpet of stunning beauty. There are small passages between the stripes, which make it possible to get closer to the flowers and choose the most beautiful one. This, believe me, is a very difficult task.

Closer to the entrance, multi-colored flowers of predominantly yellow-orange-reddish tones are planted – a cheerful kaleidoscope of colors.

They are followed separately by purple, white, yellow, orange.

Out of inexperience, we dressed to be comfortable. After the first delight from what we saw subsided, we noticed that many girls and women were in elegant, light dresses and hats. In other words, if you want romantic shots, dress accordingly! I’ll take that into account next time!
So, what kind of flowers are these – buttercups? It is worth clarifying that this is not just a buttercup, but an Asian buttercup. It belongs to the Buttercup family. These are perennial flowers up to 45 cm high. If you like roses, dahlias and peonies, then the ranunculus will definitely be among your favorites, as it resembles these flowers in different growth phases. However, unlike roses, buttercups are odorless. Believe me, it’s very easy to forgive them.

After you cut them and put them in vases, buttercups do not fade for a long time. Agree, this is a very great advantage for flowers! Knowing this moment, we specially chose flowers with unopened buds: some will fade, others will open!
When I was looking for information about these beautiful flowers, one fact surprised me: it turns out that they are not at all friendly with daffodils. These flowers are not recommended to be grown side by side and even collected in one bouquet. It would seem that the daffodils did not please the buttercups ?! This moment surprised me, but did not upset me, since I am not at all a fan of daffodils. Well no means no!

The premises in the background of the photographs are cowsheds. This can be guessed by the smell .And next to the buttercups, there are fields with cereals.
Another important point: Asian buttercup juice is poisonous, and it is contained in all parts of plants! In other words, don’t eat these flowers

Despite the fact that there were many visitors, there was enough space for everyone, and even more flowers.
